Global CompactIt was first proposed in 1999 by Kofi Annan, former secretary of the United Nations, Global Compact is the largest strategic approach to corporate citizenship in the world.
The purpose of the initiative is to promote a sustainable global economy.
Specifically, Global Compact is a network that brings together governments, businesses, UN agencies, trade unions and civil services created to promote sustainability through social and civic behavior contributing to creating a new phase of globalization characterized by sustainability and International cooperation.
La Molisana has subscribed to this project because it shares the 10 basic principles, believing it makes sense for a company to encourage a sustainable environment in which to do business while minimizing risk and enhancing its initiatives.
Being part of the project means:
• sharing excellent practices in developing strategies and practical solutions when addressing common challenges
• working in partnership with a large representation of stakeholders
• being actively involved in critical issues
We are aware that the road is a long one, but the long-term goal is to increasingly align their goals with those of the International community.
