La Molisana takes part to “Live with the heart” campaign

Cardiovascular diseases in Europe represent one of the main causes of mortality in women over 40. The report on the health status of our country published by the health ministry highlights that on average every 15 minutes, an Italian woman dies due to a heart disease.

Contrary to what is commonly believed heart diseases are the most frequent among women and 40% of female deaths are due to heart attack and stroke. These data emerged from the conference “Infarction and cardiovascular disease in women: how to live with the heart” promoted by Abbott and organized by the European Center for Managerial Studies operating throughout Italy. The initiative, to which La Molisana has given its contribution, is part of the revamping of “Live with the Heart”, an awareness campaign aimed at teaching women how to look after their hearts responsibly. “I think it is very important to start talking about gender medicine – says Rossella Ferro, marketing director of La Molisana – Awareness campaigns like this, which involve many scientific and social resources and study the various factors in a targeted manner, are of noble stature and, as a woman, I can only marry the project “.
