Four cousins, four personalities

One goal.

Four entrepreneurs, four personalities, one soul working towards results.

Since its acquisition by the Ferro Group, La Molisana has embarked on a path of constant growth that has led it to become the second largest pasta factory in Italy today.

A milestone that demonstrates how industrial vision, milling expertise, and ongoing investment can truly transform things. In fifteen years, an ambitious project has transformed into a solid and recognized reality, capable of combining tradition and innovation. In 2026, new investments, further development projects, and a clear choice are on the horizon: to remain firmly rooted in Molise, continuing to grow without losing its identity.

The face of La Molisana is a passionate woman, a loving mother, and an award-winning entrepreneur: practically a tightrope walker, Rossella Ferro, Marketing Manager, leads a group of young people to whom she has instilled passion and a vision.

Positive results should always be viewed with sobriety, as a starting point and never a destination. However, I cannot hide my joy at seeing the efforts of years of intense activity, during which we pushed ourselves and our collaborators to exceed our limits, translated into excellent commercial performance. Synergy with the local community is essential, to spread awareness of local businesses that stand out for their excellence and continually trigger virtuous cycles. A path of consistent and healthy growth that none of us will ever forget, because we never forget the uphill journey we leave behind.

Flavio Ferro

The Group’s Plant Manager, with a character as strong as his name, a tireless worker, hardened by challenges and naturally willing to make sacrifices. We asked him what the acquisition meant:

When we acquired the Pastificio, we knew we faced the enormous challenge of reviving a century-old brand, beloved and renowned worldwide, but also a facility requiring significant investment and rapid renovation, a construction site undergoing a complete transformation. These were intense years, filled with important decisions, during which the company took the shape we wanted it to. We feared our boldness, but firmly believed in our choices. We achieved significant production levels, invested in new machinery, and radically renovated the facility. I share these encouraging results with my teams, who believed in the project, from the quality lab to production, from packaging to the logistics team.

Francesco Ferro

Mill Plant Manager, who manages and oversees the mill. He embodies the affability and expertise of four generations at the helm of the family business.

For those of us who have spent a lifetime in the wheat market, managing the entire pasta supply chain is a unique and prestigious opportunity to test our skills with a qualitatively excellent product. We have always selected the best varieties of Triticum durum wheat to supply major national players, and today we have the privilege of guaranteeing this consistent, certified quality to La Molisana’s products. The results confirm the seriousness of our work and encourage us to believe that this is the right path.

Giuseppe Ferro

CEO of the pasta factory, a man focused on the future, with a vocation for finance and a life spent working with durum wheat. He has crisscrossed Italy to close deals and restore the brand to its rightful position. For someone like him, satisfactions last only a moment, then give way to a new challenge. He tells us about his company.

Fifteen years have passed since our family decided to move beyond the milling business and acquire La Molisana. In those years, a small miracle has occurred, in an area of Italy where growth is far from easy for businesses.
