Our sustainability manifesto
In particular, those working in the food industry, in addition to product quality—now a prerequisite taken for granted—are required to provide transparency into the process behind the creation of an excellent product, namely the value chain. Issues such as the impact on the environment and biodiversity, employment and economic development, the fight against corruption and respect for workers’ rights, and the importance of the connection with the local area have always been at the heart of La Molisana’s priorities. Since 2011, numerous initiatives have been introduced to ensure, on the one hand, the maintenance of our commitment to qualitative excellence, and on the other, the consolidation of a sustainable approach, thus demonstrating that combining business with attention to society and the environment is possible. Our sustainability strategy, centered on four pillars, has been translated into concrete objectives and actions.

Cultivating the bond with the territory
By encouraging the involvement of wheat producers, to promote sustainable farming practices and obtain a high-quality raw material with a high protein content, recognizing and rewarding farmers with a fair price.
Reduce the environmental footprint
By investing in highly energy-efficient technologies capable of increasing productivity and self-production levels, and by promoting the recovery of production waste in a circular economy perspective.
Committing to food education
And healthy lifestyles to counteract the rising obesity trends.
Promoting the well-being of our employees
Ensuring respect for the fundamental rights of workers and throughout the supply chain, adhering to the SMETA (Sedex Member Ethical Trade Audit) audit methodology, which establishes ethical rigor towards employees and suppliers.
Promoting the well-being of our employees
