The criteria for drafting the sustainability report

La Molisana’s Sustainability Report is the document describing the initiatives implemented, the main results in terms of environmental, social, and governance performance, and future projects, providing complete and transparent information to stakeholders. To the extent necessary to ensure a clear understanding of the company’s business activities, the document reports the performance and impact of the most relevant topics for the company and its stakeholders, drawing inspiration from the “Global Standards for Sustainability Reporting” established in 2020 by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Materiality Analysis

The motivations and challenges reach a new level: that of directly managing the entire integrated pasta supply chain, relaunching a historic brand, and creating new jobs. The underlying reason our family accepted the challenge was the desire to offer Molise a chance for redemption. In 10 years, we rebuilt the pasta factory, allowing a volcanic energy to take shape and transform La Molisana into a vibrant company that never stops investing and innovating. Over time, we built the team we needed to tackle market challenges and make a difference, fostering passion, a sense of belonging, and a sense of belonging.

Identifying relevant topics for La Molisana and its stakeholders

The identification of relevant topics was a preliminary step to identifying potentially material issues for La Molisana (in terms of objectives and strategies) and for the external context (in terms of key sector issues and topics of interest to key stakeholders). It was developed through an initial analysis of both internal and external documentary sources. 1 Through the involvement of managers from all functions and business areas, the list of potentially relevant topics was refined and validated, and information was collected on corporate strategy priorities, the current management approach, the main risks and impacts, and any emerging regulatory stimuli.

Identification of the priority scale of the themes and definition of the materiality matrix

The prioritization phase served to establish a priority scale for each topic, considering both La Molisana’s interests in relation to corporate objectives and strategies and those of its stakeholders. In both cases, the topics were assessed on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 indicates low relevance attributed to the topic by corporate strategies or stakeholders, and 5 expresses maximum relevance. This assessment was conducted through online questionnaires administered to both La Molisana’s top management and a select panel of Group stakeholders. All topics that received a score above the average, either for the company or its stakeholders, were considered relevant, or “material,” and were therefore reported in this document.

Validation of the materiality matrix

During the validation phase, the Materiality Matrix was shared with La Molisana’s internal team.
